One lucky player of the Wokingham borough community lottery has started the year with a big win.
Camille, from Reading scooped the £2,000 earlier this month.
She said: “I was absolutely thrilled and honestly couldn’t believe it when I found out I’d won. It was such a lovely surprise and a real moment of excitement for our family.”
She plans to spend the money on a trip to New York to celebrate her daughter’s 16th birthday and the completion of her GCSEs in June.
Tickets for the lottery cost just £1, and 50p from every ticket goes directly to your chosen good cause.
Camille added: “I chose to support Home-Start as I was previously a volunteer and have seen first-hand the incredible difference they make to families who need extra support.
“The work they do is so important, and it means a lot to me to be able to support a charity that genuinely changes lives.”
