STUDENTS from Stagecoach Performing Arts in Wokingham took to the stage of His Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End at the weekend to showcase their singing and dancing talents.
Hard work during rehearsals led to a successful event, with youngsters performing a wide range of well known songs from musicals and films.
Among the highlights were:Spice Up Your Life by The Spice Girls, Pink by Lizzo, and Dance The Night by Dua Lipa.
Other notable songs included: Not Your Barbie Girl by Aqua and Ava Max, Barbie Dreams by Fifty Fifty and Kaliiii, and What Was I Made For by Billie Eilish.
Claire Louise Rosser, principal of Stagecoach Performing Arts Wokingham, said: “It was an amazing experience witnessing our students unite and showcase their talents on the stage of His Majesty’s Theatre.
“After weeks of dedicated rehearsals, they delivered an exceptional performance, one they should all be immensely proud of.”
In the 36 years since its launch, Stagecoach Performing Arts says it has seen more than one million students unlock their creative potential, something the organisation says they will value for their whole lives.
With a network of over 60,000 students and more than 3,000 extra-curricular Performing Arts Schools worldwide, Stagecoach says it aims to make a difference in its students’ lives by teaching creative courage for life.
It says that many of its students have gone on to study and work in performing arts within film and theatre roles.
Stagecoach classes are available for children aged from four to 18.
