Wokingham Town Football Club has announced the passing of one of its former players.
Callum Lochhead played for the under-18s Allied Counties Youth team, and played six games for the first team several seasons ago .
The club said: “Callum was a valued and loved member of the Wokingham family who will never be forgotten.”
Mark Ashwell, president of the club, told Wokingham Today: “Everyone at the club sends our deepest condolences to Callum’s loved ones at this heartbreaking time, and also to our players who played alongside him.
“I can distinctly remember Callum impressing at under-19 level, and making the breakthrough into our first team squad.”
The club is planning to organise a tribute to Callum at one of its future matches.
