The next autumn Wokingham Walk, brought to you by Wokingham Lions Club, will take place on Sunday, October 13.
As usual, the Wokingham Walk will start and end at Elm’s Field in the centre of Wokingham, and walkers can choose to follow either the 5, 10 or 15 mile routes.
The Wokingham Walk provides a great opportunity to discover the countryside around Wokingham.
Many walkers have told Wokingham Lions they didn’t know that such beautiful and
interesting places existed so close to our town.
Walkers can use the event in different ways; to catch up with family and friends; as part of the preparation for another longer walk; to raise money by sponsorship for their favourite charity, and even to get the children away from their computer screens.
Registration is now open at www.wokinghamwalk.co.uk and the cost remains at £15 per adult, £5 per child aged 12-17 and free for younger children.
All children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
Check the town centre parking costs before leaving your car, as these now include Sunday parking.
Wokingham Lion Andy Slay, who heads The Wokingham Walk team, said: “I’m delighted that this event continues to be so well received by the town.
“Both the Spring and Autumn Wokingham Walks are now firm fixtures in Wokingham’s calendar.
“Local charities and individuals increasingly use the event to fundraise by sponsorship, something that we always wanted to happen from the event’s inception”.
