WOKINGHAM UNDER 11s have added another trophy to their collection.
The team represented Berkshire in the 7-a-side south west regional finals of the Danone National Cup, battling past Torbay and Basingstoke thanks to goals from Scott Morgan and Zackary Waight.
As a result of winning the tournament, Wokingham progress to the national finals which will take place in either Stoke or Leicester later this year.
“We are very fortunate to have such talented players in our district,” said manager Stuart Bevan.
“The team this year have truly been a joy to coach and have all been a credit to their schools.
“A big thank you to our local schools, team parents, sponsors, the chairman and of course our volunteer coaches (Keith Doward, Mark Scurr and Matt smith) whom without this would not have been possible.”
