Young actors will perform Shakespeare’s Tempest this weekend.
Wokingham Youth Theatre’s senior performers take to the stage with a shortened but faithful version of the play.
The Tempest takes its audience to a magical island, where Magician Prospero and his daughter live with sprites and monsters as their isle companions.
Victims of treachery, they are exiled until their enemies are thrown within reach during a violent storm.
With all the players now on the island, Shakespeare ensures that romance blossoms, kingdoms are restored, and the world is put to rights.
Performances are at Wokingham Theatre from Thursday, February 16 through to Saturday, February 18.
Doors open at 7.45pm, with an additional matinée on Saturday at 2pm.
Tickets cost £10, or £6 for children.
