WOKINGHAM’S Heritage Open Day has been cancelled as a mark of respect following the death of Her Majesty The Queen.
The event, organised by Wokingham Town Council was scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 10, but a decision has been made not to go ahead.
A spokesperson for the council said: “Following the very sad news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen, as a mark of respect we will not be going ahead with Heritage Day tomorrow.
“We do hope that you will understand our decision at this time.
“We always enjoy opening our doors and bringing the community together during heritage week and for many other events throughout the year, and hope that you will join us at one of our other events soon.”
