BERKSHIRE’S award-winning Barberettes are looking for new members.
If you enjoy singing, or would like to give it a try, the group is holding two open nights in Woodley.
The all ladies group perform in the traditional Barbershop style and sing regularly around the county as well as further afield.
Founded in 1976, their repertoire ranges from Adele’s Skyfall to Justin Timberlake to movie themes and a fantastic medley of Beatles hits.
The Barberettes consistently reach the finals of the LABBS (Ladies Association Of British Barbershop Singers) national competitions and have given concert performances in Europe.
Studies have shown that group singing has a number of benefits including lowering stress and increased confidence.
Singing in a chorus also offers a friendly and sociable network to have some fun, and provides a great opportunity to meet new people.
The open nights on Wednesday, February 13 and Wednesday, February 20, take place at the St John Ambulance Hall, Church Road in Woodley from 7.45pm to 10pm.
