A SUPERMARKET in Woosehill was sealed off by police after it was raided in the early hours of this morning – one of two such overnight raids.

Officers from Thames Valley Police were sent to Morrisons, off the Woosehill Spine Road just after 3.10am on Thursday, February 8.

Thieves had broken into the store and headed to the cigarette booth, making off with an unknown quantity.

A cordon was put in place to allow the force to investigate, and the store closed.

The store has since reopened.

The robbers also struck at the Morrisons in Crown Row in Bracknell.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “Officers are investigating a burglary which occurred at a branch of Morrisons in Woosehill, Wokingham.

“It was reported to the force at just after 3.10am this morning (8/2) where a quantity of cigarettes was stolen.

“Anybody who witnessed this or who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage is urged to call 101, quoting reference 43240061353.

“A separate incident, which is currently being linked, was reported at the Morrisons in Crown Row, Bracknell, at 3.58am this morning where again, cigarettes were stolen.

“Anyone with information on that incident should quote reference number 43240061360.”
