YOUNG forward Yakou Meite has joined French side FC Sochaux-Montbéliard on a season-long loan deal.
Meite, 21, joined Reading from Paris Saint-Germain last summer but struggled for first team football under Jaap Stam.
And he has now joined the French second division side on a deal until the end of the season, as confirmed by the player himself via Twitter.
As well as missing a chunk of the season through injury, Meite featured mainly for the Under-23 side.
He did make 14 first team appearances, but only started once and scored one goal, in defeat at Derby County. His last game was a start against Rotherham United in April, but he was withdrawn after 45 minutes.

And manager Stam said Meite simply is not yet ready for the Reading first team.
“Yakou came from the youth of PSG and had never played first team football,” said Stam.
“You can say OK we’re going to keep him here playing U23s and occasionally come into the first team.
“But the thing is, and I can be clear about this, he’s not ready yet to play in the first team.
“That’s why we put him on loan so he can develop, become a better player, get more experience and hopefully next season or maybe in January come back and do well for us.
“That’s how you need to think about what to do with young players and academy players.”
