Wokingham is bracing itself for the onslaught of Storm Barney this afternoon as the Met Office issues a yellow weather warning for wind in the South East.
Gales of up to 60mph are expected to sweep eastwards throughout the evening, with areas of exposed hills, coasts and headlands being warned they could experience gusts of up to 70mph.
Commuters are being warned to expect disruption to train services, and trees could be brought down in the gales.
The yellow ‘be aware’ warning is expected to remain in place until Wednesday morning.
