A new archaeology club aimed at children launches this weekend.
The Council for British Archaeology Wessex Region is starting the group at the URE Museum in the New Year and to celebrate is holding a taster session on Saturday.
It is for youngsters aged six to 16 who have an interest in natural history, archaeology and the appliance of science. Sessions will be led by experts and focus on the local and national environment.
The session runs from 2pm to 4pm and the museum is in the HUMSS building of the University of Reading’s Whiteknights campus.
