ANYONE interested to know more about climate change and how to mitigate its effects can attend a series of lectures in the town.
The Walter Climate Change Lectures bring together guest speakers from the worlds of science, faith and business.
Audiences are able to hear experts give their views and perspectives on the current increase in the earth’s average temperature, and the likely impact this will have on all aspects of our lives.
To hear how Wokingham Borough Council is responding to the effects of climate change locally, people should attend a talk given by WBC Officer, and executive member for climate emergency and resident services, Councillor Sarah Kerr.
She will lead a session titled: Wokingham Borough Council: Climate Emergency Action Plan.
“The event will be an opportunity to learn about how the council is progressing in the transition to carbon neutrality by 2030, and the collective action that WBC’s community can take,” she said.
The event takes place at All Saints Church, Wokingham, on Thursday, October 12 at 7pm.
There is no need to book, all are welcome, and audience members can just turn up.
