“LET YOUR light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven,” says Matthew 5:16.
Faith isn’t meant to be hidden away like a secret.
Jesus compared it to salt and light—two things that only make a difference when they’re out in the open.
Salt can’t season from inside the jar, and light doesn’t brighten anything when it’s covered up.
Yet many of us keep our faith tucked safely out of sight.
We fear what people might think, or we doubt we’re good enough examples.
But faith isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence.
When people see how belief shapes our lives, they get a glimpse of God’s goodness.
Going public doesn’t mean preaching from a stage.
It’s about quiet courage and everyday authenticity: letting your values shape your choices, speaking honestly about what gives you hope, showing kindness when it’s inconvenient, or admitting your failures instead of pretending to have it all together.
Jesus said: “You are the light of the world.”
That means every act of generosity, forgiveness, or integrity becomes a spark of light in someone else’s darkness.
So this week, try one small step—share what’s helping you through, pray for someone out loud, or simply live with such grace that people notice.
Faith is too good to keep hidden.
Let it be seen.
Because when faith goes public, light spreads—and the world gets a little brighter.
