Maiden Erlegh Residents’ Association (MERA) is urging residents to consider volunteering to join their local Speedwatch scheme.
Speedwatch is a national initiative which enables volunteers to assist in policing the speeds of vehicles in their area. It has proved to be very effective in helping to reduce the number of speeding vehicles nationwide.
Anyone interested in joining the scheme as a volunteer to keep the community safe, a free Q&A session will take place next week.
Residents in the area can register their interest for the session online.
If you wish to join Speedwatch as a volunteer wherever you live, go to www.communityspeedwatch.orgfor details.
Residents who have concerns about safety on our roads, and wish to do something to protect themselves and their families from speeding vehicles, are urged to consider joining
Speedwatch to assist the police in encouraging motorists to drive more considerately through residential areas.
