YOUNGSTERS in the borough will be able to enjoy early evening open air theatre, thanks to Wokingham In Bloom.
The organisation has put together an event for children to enjoy theatre, music and magic, with some interactive fun.
Chair of Wokingham in Bloom, Morag Malvern said; “The Wokingham in Bloom teams have worked really hard to turn Howard Palmer Gardens into a wonderful community space and we are delighted to be putting on our first event here.
This free show will bring the joy of theatre, song, and laughter together through a series of interactive performances.
“We hope everyone will join us, join in, bring a picnic and enjoy the show.”
The entertainment will be aimed at children seven years and older, but younger children are very welcome to attend.
The programme includes St Bart Youth Theatre Academy’s production of The Secret Garden – In Space!, a performance from magician Fred in the Shed, and music from the Elite Production singers.
Wokingham in Bloom is primarily funded by Wokingham Town Council, but is run by volunteers.
It aims to be as sustainable as possible, and helps groups to manage and maintain borough green spaces for the benefits of residents and wildlife.
