Thames Valley Police has confirmed that a 35-year-old man from Woodley has been arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
Thames Valley Police had issued an appeal for help to identify a man who was spotted with a Nazi flag on a footbridge over the A329(M) last weekend, who has now been arrested.
Video and images of the incident, which happened around 12 noon on Sunday, August 18, was widely shared on social media channels.
The man, who appeared to be accompanied by a bike, was seen on a bridge near Earley, over the Reading-bound carriageway shortly after its junction with Winnersh Triangle..
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police told Wokingham Today: “Officers investigating an incident where a man was seen with a Swastika flag on an overbridge in Earley on Sunday have made an arrest.”
The man is currently in police custody.
