Wokingham Market Place was the place to be on Sunday, as Wokingham Town Council held the fourth edition of its popular Chalk About It event.
Chalk About It is a stimulating, art-based activity which can help residents express their feelings in a relaxed, open air environment, and where they are supported and not judged.
Cllr Rob Comber, the town mayor of Wokingham, enjoyed adding his own art to the pavement.
He told Wokingham Today: “Chalk About It is certainly one of the most colourful events that happens during the mayoral year.
“It’s a very well supported event, and I believe it’s a great thing for the community.
“It gets youngsters involved, but their parents eventually crack and starting colouring themselves.”
Two-year-old Emme took advantage of the painting activity. She had only arrived with her family from Hong Kong in the week prior to the event.
Sunday’s chalk illustrations will remain on the ground until rain washes the creations away.
