ALL around the borough this month, residents will gather to remember the ultimate sacrifices made by all those lost in war.
Anyone wishing to mark Remembrance Day can join one of the following events.
In Arborfield:
A Remembrance Sunday parade will take place at the Royal British Legion on Eversley Road, on Sunday, November 10.
Beginning at 10am, the parade will make its way to the war memorial, where a service will take place.
The procession will then return to the starting point at noon.
In Finchampstead:
The village’s annual Remembrance Day parade will take place at Finchampstead Memorial Park on Sunday, November 10 at 3pm.
The Scouts and Brownies will process and a Remembrance service at the war memorial will be led by Revd Julian McAllen of St James Church.
Refreshments will be provided afterwards in the Memorial Hall by members of St James Church.
On site parking is available, and people are asked to arrive by 2.50pm.
In Wargrave:
A Remembrance service will take place at St Mary’s Church, on Sunday, November 10, at 10am.
At 10.45am people will be invited to assemble at the memorial on Mill Green to place wreaths and plant poppy crosses in memory of all those who gave their lives.
In Wokingham:
A Remembrance parade to All Saints Church will leave Market Place in the town centre, on Sunday, November 10, at 2.35pm, led by St Sebastian’s Wokingham Band.
A Remembrance church service will then take place at All Saints Church, at 3pm.
This is a public service and all residents are welcome, but spaces are limited.
In Woodley:
A gathering of Remembrance for Armistice Day will take place at the war memorial in Woodford Park, on Monday, November 11, at 11am.
The town council, local schools, community groups and other organisations will lay wreaths and observe a two-minute silence.
The gathering is open to all.
