The force has recovered a large number of tools after it executed a warrant in nearby Wheatley. Now officers want to get the tools back to their rightful owners.

This weekend, the tools can be claimed from Abingdon Police Station providing appropriate proof of purchase can be seen by police.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “Please take a look at the recovered tools in the images. If you believe that one or some of them belong to you or your company then please feel free to attend Abingdon police station between the times listed below to view the recovered items.

“Please bring proof of purchase with you to the police station. It is, however, understood that paperwork is not always kept so each case will be assessed on its own merits and the officers in attendance will be able to make a decision based on the information provided.”

Abingdon Police station will be open on Saturday, January 6 from noon to 5pm and on Sunday, January 7 from 9am to 4pm.
