THAMES VALLEY Police is appealing for witnesses following an attempted murder in Tilehurst.
At 8.50pm on Tuesday, November 19 officers attended Eddleston Way in Tilehurst, after reports that a man had sustained stab wounds.
The victim was a man in his thirties, and was taken to hospital by South Central Ambulance Service.
He currently remains in a stable condition at hospital. Thames Valley Police say the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
It is believed he was assaulted by two offenders, who may have left the scene on bicycles.
Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Marc Skinner, of Reading police station, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident, during which a man sustained wounds consistent with having been stabbed.
“It happened in a public area at a time where I believe it’s likely there would be witnesses to the incident. If anyone saw or heard this incident then please get in touch with police.

Two 14-year-old boys have both been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in relation to this investigation. Both are currently in police custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Dave Turton, of Reading police station, said: “I appreciated that this incident is a concerning one for the public and the community.
“In light of this we are stepping up patrols in the area to provide reassurance and there will be a visible police presence while the investigation continues.
