WOKINGHAM artists and crafters are busy making the final preparations for their forthcoming display of work.
The members of Wokingham Art Society will hold their 68th Annual Exhibition in July.
The show will feature a wide range of original artworks, including paintings, ceramics, wood carvings, and jewellery by local artists.
“A distinctive aspect of the event is that artworks are sold directly ‘from the wall’, allowing buyers to take home pieces immediately,” said artist and group member Kusum Shabong.
Last year’s Best in Show was Clare Buchner’s work, Spring Tide.
Sold items are constantly replaced by new works during the exhibition, which takes place over a two-week period, making the event a rolling exhibition.
Prizes for outstanding works are awarded by a panel of independent prominent artists, with another award based on the visiting public’s favourite choice.
The event will take place at St Paul’s Parish Rooms, from Saturday, July19 through to Saturday, August 2.
