The inaugural Wokingham Lions Club Swimathon is approaching, taking place at the Carnival Hub Swimming Pool on Saturday, September 7.

A spokesperson for Wokingham Lions said: “We have just four of our 30 team places left.
“If you’d like the opportunity to raise funds for your favourite charity by swimming in Wokingham’s six-lane, 25-metre Carnival Pool, you should act now.”
The Wokingham Swimathon is an event for swimmers over 8-years-old, and of any swimming ability. Teams of up to eight can swim in relay and raise money for their favourite cause.
The Swimathon is designed to be a fun event. You can swim with family, friends or colleagues.
It costs £25 per team, and you can keep all the funds you raise for your good cause.
Charities already taking part include: Me2 Club, BIBS (Babies in Buscot Support), The Cowshed, Kaleidoscopic UK, SHARE Wokingham, British Heart Foundation, Ollie Young Foundation, Keep Mobile, Wokingham Foodbank and Wokingham Link Visiting Scheme.
