A MONTHLY group for adopters and their children meets in a borough church.
Let’s Get Creative! Is for adopted youngsters aged five to 13, and includes a support group for their carers.
Organised by Parenting Special Children, the sessions take place on the first Saturday of the month.
At the next event, the group will be joined by a music therapist from Whole Step, and play therapist Stephanie Ollis.
The children are split into age groups for activities to help them enjoy building social skills through different forms of art.
Parents stay for an Adopter’s Support Group, which can also be attended even without a child attending Let’s Get Creative.
The group is supported by the Comic Relief Community Fund.
The next event is at Lower Earley Baptist Church, on Saturday, March 2.
It runs from 10am until noon.
Places are free for Berkshire children, and £10 for those outside the county.
