RESIDENTS of Twyford and its surrounding villages can look forward to some fun – hopefully in the sun – this coming June.
For the 15th year running, Ian Wisdom, Twyford Beer Festival organiser, plans to bring villagers together to enjoy three days of beer, food, and music.
A huge range of beers and ciders will be available to try, with many sourced from borough breweries.
Wine and spirits will be served as well, leaving festival goers spoilt for choice.
Designated drivers and those wishing to remain sober will be able to choose from low and no alcohol drinks, as well as from a range of soft drinks.
No festival is complete without food, and this year, attendees can expect to find stallholders selling pies, burgers, sausages, and Indian cuisine.
All caterers will be serving vegetarian options too.
The first evening of the three days of entertainment has already been confirmed, with Drum Club, and Blondie tribute band Atomic Rapture, set to perform.
More acts will be confirmed for the rest of the festival as spots are filled.
All staff and acts will be volunteering their time during the event.
This is a regular feature of the festival, coming as it does from Ian Wisdom’s determination to raise money for Orchid, a men’s cancer charity close to his heart.
The event will take place at Stanlake Meadow, Twyford, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 4, 5, and 6.
Opening times vary slightly each day:
On Thursday, doors are open from 6pm to11pm,
On Friday, entry is from noon to 11pm,
And on Saturday, the hours are from noon until 10.30pm.
Tickets are now on sale, costing £10 for Thursday and Friday, and £15 for Saturday.
Families and dogs are welcome, and the site is easily accessible.
