Anna is feline fine over her role as Wokingham’s cat nanny

ANNA Wan believes she has the purr-fect job.

She gets to spend the day doing what she loves – being with cats.

Anna got her first cat when she was just three years old. Since then, she has stroked, fed, cared for and cuddled a succession of family cats and now has her own ginger Tom called Garfield.

So when she moved to Wokingham three years ago after getting married, Anna knew there was only one job she wanted to do – start her own cat sitting service.

In just a very short time, The Feline Nanny has built up a steady list of clients as well as a reputation for providing a first class service – and peace of mind – to cat owners in the borough.

“There are many excellent catteries but not every cat or cat owner is happy to use them,” explained Anna.

“Cats like routine so moving them to a strange environment for a few weeks can be unsettling.

“I look after cats in their own home while the owner is away so their routine is not interrupted.

“That makes for a happier cat and an owner who can go on holiday or away on business, safe in the knowledge that their pet is being looked after in the place they know and love.”

The Feline Nanny offers three packages at very affordable costs. They range from a basic daily health check and replenishing food and water, to spending time playing and cuddling the cat and even putting out the owner’s bins.

“Many owners like to know that their house is also being looked after while they are away,” added Anna.

“I open and close curtains and collect mail and newspapers. I’ll spend time with their cat and make sure it has no injuries from being outside. Other customers are happy with me just replenishing food and emptying litter trays.

“I have built my business around my clients and their pets so I can provide the service they prefer.”

Anna has experience of looking after cats of all personalities and needs. She is a fully registered member of NarpsUK*, a full clean UK driving licence and a completely clean DBS (previously called a CRB police check). She is fully insured for pet sitting/minding and associated services and operates within a five-mile radius of Wokingham.

“I count myself really lucky because my job is something I love doing which is being with cats,” said Anna.

“I would be delighted to hear from new customers to discuss a package that suits them best, as well as suits their cat.”

For more information, call Anna on 07902 605111 or email [email protected]
