A local charity has benefited from a walking football initiative.
Friends, family and players helped to raise funds for Daisy’s Dream before last Sunday’s march against Wallingford & Crowmarsh.
Captain Chloe Barton told Wokingham Today: “We managed to raise £320 after the walking football fundraiser.
“We had a good turnout from friends and family of our players to help raise money for a good cause.”
Teacher Chloe added that he went on a course a few weeks ago about how to support children through bereavement, and I found the course very powerful.
“I love the work that they do, and felt I wanted to do my bit to help support this local charity.”
