More land in Barkham is set to come under the hammer this week.
A freehold block of woodland measuring 0.2 acres off Sandy Lane will be auctioned on Thursday (March 28) by London-based firm Barney Estates and Auctioneers.
The lot is being sold with a guide price of £10,000, plus fees.
The parcel of land failed to attract bids at previous auctions early this year. It is understood to have previously been owned by a property developer.
The listing said: “The land is set in an idyllic location on the fringes of Wokingham and Barkham with easy access into Winnersh via Bearwood Road and into Wokingham via Barkham Road.
“The property is surrounded by woodland yet there are a number of amenities available nearby including Barkham post office and The Bull Public House.”
The firm added that a ‘section 4’ notice that restricts further development on this site is in place.
The land is being sold on an unconditional basis, and the auction house said that purchasers considering alternative uses, or even development, are deemed to rely upon their own enquiries.
