A Wokingham town centre restaurant has announced it will close at the end of March.
RYND, in Wokingham town hall in Market Place, opened less than three years ago.
A statement on its website said: “Following three years in the heart of Wokingham, RYND will be permanently closed after March 31.
“We invite you to celebrate our final few days with a cocktail or two before we close our doors for the last time.
“Thank you from all of us at RYND.”
The restaurant, which features a California-inspired menu, was a reincarnation of the brand’s previous cocktail bar in Reading which ceased operations in 2016.
Prior to RYND, the space was occupied by The Courtyard.
Accounts filed at Companies House for the operating company for the year ending April 2023 showed the average number of staff during the previous year was 15. They also showed evidence of the significant investment that was required to refurbish and equip the restaurant.
The owners of RYND also own the former Doughnut Time shop at 24 Denmark Street. That unit, which was branded ‘Wokingham General Store’ in June 2023, has remained closed. It is believed to be used for storage.
