The Berkshire Bees, previously known as Bracknell Bees Ice Hockey Club could be on the brink of folding, the club has confirmed.
The Bees used to play their home matches at the John Nike Leisuresport Complex in Bracknell and were housed there for 33 years.
However, they were forced to move after the complex had to shut down in 2020 due to financial pressures.
As a result, the Bees moved to the Slough Ice Arena, but a statement released by the club confirmed that they may be forced to fold.
It says: “Due to circumstances beyond our control the current Director Team are having to review all options open to them for the Club including mothballing the Berkshire Bees National League team for the season 2025/26.
“Every avenue is being explored to deal with these circumstances before any final decisions are made.
“We understand that this is a worrying time for everyone and the club will be providing regular updates over the coming days
“The Director Team are very keen to hear from anyone that feels they may be able to help the Club move forward at [email protected].”
