Bracknell Bees are up to second in the NIHL South 1 table following a mixed weekend on the ice.
Doug Sheppard’s men suffered a disappointing 6-2 defeat at his old club Basingstoke Bison on Saturday with consolation goals coming from Zack Milton and Roman Malinik.

But the Bees responded at The Hive on Sunday evening, racing into a 3-0 lead against mid-table Romford Raiders as Shaun Thompson, Aidan Doughty and Malinik found the net.
However, the Raiders fought back in the third period, reducing the arrears to 3-2 thanks to Dan Scott and Liam Chong efforts before a late Josh Smith strike sealed victory for the hosts.
COLUMN: Bees have showed how competitive they are this season
Bees are now second in the table, although they have played more games than all the sides around them.
It promises to be an exciting weekend at The Hive with back-to-back home matches against leaders Peterborough Phantoms on Saturday (6.30pm) before welcoming Bison on Sunday (6pm).
