BRACKNELL Forest’s Rainbow Care Group has won a prestigious care award.
Receiving Specialist Activity of the year, on behalf of the group, was dementia practitoner Kathryn Bayden.
The Rainbow Care Group celebrated its Annual Rainbow Care Awards at the Derbyshire County Cricket Club Pavilion, where dementia care practitioners from across the United Kingdom gathered to recognise excellence, compassion, and innovation within the sector.
The ceremony welcomed finalists whose commitment to improving the lives of individuals living with dementia has made a meaningful and lasting impact on families, communities, and the care industry as a whole.
Judging the awards was industry expert and Manager of the North Yorkshire’s Community Mental Health Team, Emily Chase, who brought professional insight and first-hand understanding of dementia care to the evaluation process.
Founder of the Rainbow Care Group, Natalie Dobson, praised the standard of work showcased by nominees.
She said: “Every finalist here tonight represents the very best in humanity — patience, empathy, resilience, and a commitment to treating every person not as a client but as a life story still being lived.
“It has been both an honour and an emotional privilege to recognise the extraordinary work happening across the UK.
“You are all changing the way dementia care is delivered in the UK.”
The winners of the 2025 Rainbow Care Awards demonstrated dedication in areas including community engagement, innovation in dementia care, family support, leadership, and individualised care, always looking at the person, not their diagnosis.
