It’s not too late to enter the California Gardeners Club Autumn show.
The event is set to take place on Sunday, September 8, and you don’t need to be a member of the club to enter.
The entry fee is only 25p per class.
If you are a keen gardener or an allotment holder, you can enter and let everyone see the produce you have grown this season.
A spokesperson for the club said the cold and wet start in May and early June hasn’t made growing vegetables easy, so that’s all the more reason to show off your produce.
There are 73 classes in all, which includes four for children.
As well as classes for vegetables, there is something for everyone from floral arrangements to cake baking, as well as many classes for flowers, house plants and liqueur making.
You can check the club’s website for more information. You can also call the show officers on 07900 055884 or 07900 796205 for more information.
An auction of donated produce will begin at 4pm.
