TO CELEBRATE a Finchampstead brewery scooping one of the top brewery awards in the country, the local real ale branch presented a special award last week.
Members of the Berkshire South East branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) met at the Siren Craft Brewery Tap Yard last Thursday to present the owner and founder of the brewery Darron Anley with the Regional gold award for Broken Dreams Breakfast Stout.
It was this award that allowed the beer to be judged at the Great British Beer Festival held in London earlier this month, where it picked up the ultimate accolade as the Supreme Champion Beer of Britain.
CAMRA said that Siren’s phone has not stopped ringing since as everyone now wants to taste the winning beer.
