A WOKINGHAM self advocacy group run by and for people with learning disabilities rounds off 2025 with December fun.
CLASP continues to spread joy in the community through its choir, whose singers will be performing in two concerts this month.
With Optalis, they will perform at Wokingham Baptist Church on Friday, December 12, from 1pm until 2.30pm.
Tickets for this event are free but must be booked through CLASP Wokingham.
Also at Wokingham Baptist Church they will perform, this time with the Sing Healthy choir, on Saturday, December 13, at 7.30pm.
Tickets for this concert are available to buy via the Sing Healthy Wokingham website.
And at CLASP’s Take Notice session on Friday, December 5, special guest will be Wokingham MP Clive Jones.
At the following Take Notice session, on Friday, December 12, members will be discussing and giving input to the Social Care Futures project.
Sessions will finish this year with the group’s Christmas extravaganza on Friday, December 19.
As well as these special events, regular CLASP sessions continue throughout December.
These include: Movie Mates, Coffee Shop, Dancing to Music, Book Corner, Happy & Healthy Club Sports & Fitness sessions, Craft Club, Evening Drop-In at Sedero Lounge, Active Session, Take Notice, Puzzle Club and Choir.
(Gardening Club has been put to bed for the winter, but there are big plans for this group in the spring of 2026.)
December 19 marks the end of this year’s CLASP activities, but after the Christmas holiday, they will restart with Coffee Shop drop-in on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
“We’d like to thank all our friends for their ongoing support this year,” said Michele Munro from CLASP.
“We really do appreciate them all and look forward to continuing to work with them in 2026.
“Happy Christmas from CLASP!”
