AS WINTER fades and spring emerges, I have felt the sun on my face from time to time while out running.
Nature reminds me of the beauty of creation.
I’ve seen small and perfectly designed flowers struggle to push through dark, heavy soil, often to be greeted by cold and rain.
But the daylight grows longer, and each day the flowers point more towards the heavens.
For me this mirrors the spiritual journey of breaking free from darkness and stepping into the new life Christ offers.
The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians: ‘If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come.
‘The old has gone, the new is here.’
Many of us struggle with unseen chains—fear, guilt, doubt, or past mistakes.
Jesus came to break those bonds, and through His love, we can step into the light, leaving behind the darkness of shame and despair.
If you are looking for spiritual renewal and freedom from unseen chains, you are not alone.
If you’re feeling stuck, or need some help and encouragement to get your life on track, you are welcome at Celebrate Recovery.
The free support group meets at Wokingham Baptist Church every Wednesday evening at 7.45pm.
Natalie leads Celebrate Recovery, and is a member of Wokingham Baptist Church, which meets each Sunday at 10.30am.
