HOLY Week begins on Sunday, also known as Palm Sunday.
It starts a week where Christians all over the world will hear again the events leading up to Jesus’s death on Good Friday.
You may remember singing, We have a King Who Rides a Donkey, at primary school, to the tune of a sailor’s ditty (if you don’t know it, look it up on YouTube, it’s a classic!)
This week is at the heart of our faith.
Jesus is with us every breath, every moment, every big or small event in our life.
Now it is our turn to journey with him.
We start with the triumphant waving of palms on Sunday, and if you’d like to join us, we’ll walk from St Paul’s Junior School up to St Paul’s Church, at around 9.10am.
Then, on Maundy Thursday we’ll hear the story of The Last Supper, Jesus’ final meal with his disciples, and on Good Friday we’ll have our hearts broken once again, immersed in grief and loss and shock.
We wait, silently, expectantly for Easter Sunday.
We aren’t yet there, but we will be.
For now, we prepare to hear and live the story of our salvation, and we’d love you to travel with us too.
