THIS week’s Church Notes is in the form of a poem, written by a member of Christ Church, Wokingham
Remember Me, by Dyedra Morrissey
Remember Me when all the land is green
Remember Me in all things seen and unseen
Remember Me when darkness clouds the sky
Remember Me in your deepest cry
Remember Me whenever you forget
Remember Me even in regret
Remember Me I am a piece of your heart
Remember Me when life might fall apart
Remember Me in every song you sing
Remember Me whatever time may bring
Remember Me when no one seems to hear
Remember Me as I am always near
Remember Me even when you have to go
Remember Me for I am in the highest and the very low
Remember Me not just in the above
Remember Me for I am Love.
It was inspired by Psalm 139:7-8: ‘Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
‘If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.’
Dyedra Morrissey is a member of Christ Church Wokingham which meets in the 6th Form Centre of St Crispin’s School, on Sunday mornings at 10:30am.
