MEMBERS of a self advocacy group for people with learning disabilities in the Wokingham borough have plenty to look forward to this month.
In February, CLASP offers all its usual weekly activities and clubs, a sponsored litter pick, and a night of dancing.
Regular sessions will continue, with Movie Mates, Coffee Shop, Dancing to Music, Book Corner, Happy & Healthy Club Sports & Fitness sessions, Craft Club, Evening Drop-In at Sedero Lounge, Active Session, Take Notice, Puzzle Club and Choir.
The group will also be showing Dinton Pastures some love on Friday February 14, when they meet for a sponsored walk and litter pick.
They invite people to sponsor them, and would warmly welcome any support offered.
And members are looking forward to a barn dance which will be held at All Saints Church, Wokingham, on Friday, February 28, at 6.30pm.
“Tickets are still available for the dance, which is going to be a lot of fun and hopefully an opportunity for some good fundraising too,” said independence support worker Michele Munro.
Craigievar Ceilidh Band will provide live music, with dancers contributing to a bring and share supper and bringing their own drinks.
Tickets cost £10 and are available until Friday, February 14.
Also this month, celebrations for CLASP’s twentieth anniversary continue, with members preparing to take on challenges throughout the year.
“Our members and supporters are getting stuck into their twenty themed challenges, by walking, swimming, creating, visiting, travelling and much more,” said Michele.
