The COATS charity shop in Crowthorne High Street has doubled in size.
When the lease of the shop next door became available, the charity seized the opportunity to more than double the floorspace.
Joyce Build were engaged to transform the two shops into an exciting new retail space. Shop coordinator Hilary Tinsley said, “The refurbishment team were absolutely amazing throughout despite one or two hiccups along the way, and us changing our minds on layout a number of times.”
The result is a bright spacious shop allowing more stock to be displayed to customers.
New rails include ‘Ladies Specials’ – designer labels and new clothing; teen clothes, a dedicated fancy dress rails, and a separate ‘library’ room with books, CDs, DVDs and LPs.
A dedicated band of shop volunteers are looking forward to welcoming lots more customers in the run up to Christmas.
The charity shop is the main source of funds for the COATS Day Centre for senior citizens.
