Cala Homes (Thames) has announced its sponsorship of Arborfield FC by providing its women’s football team brand new kits featuring the Cala logo.
The club, established 50 years ago, launched its first women’s club in January 2023 and now provides women in the community the opportunity to ignite their passion for football both on and off the pitch.
Cala has donated more than £1,300, which has funded 28 sets of football kits and tracksuits for the team and helped expand the women’s team.
The club’s sponsorship comes as part of Cala’s major Community Pledge initiative at its Finchwood Park development, Finchampstead in Wokingham. The Community Pledge incorporates a host of tailored measures addressing specific community needs, including donations, volunteering, learning programmes, support initiatives and much more – such as the football club sponsorship.
Sara Brown, Arborfield’s club secretary, said: “We’re extremely grateful to Cala for their sponsorship of the club and their very generous donation towards the team’s kits and tracksuits.
“It’s a fantastic time for women’s football following the recent World Cup and England making it to the final, and we’re looking forward to many more matches in the future where our fantastic new kits can be front and centre.”
Alison Deakin, sales and marketing director at Cala Thames, added: “People and communities have always been at the heart of what we do, and the Community Pledge is all about committing to the areas in which we build in a more meaningful way.
“Our goal is to directly impact the people around our developments and the places and organisations that matter to them.”
