New speed limits for several roads in Shinfield has been approved.
The reduction – from 40 mph to 30 mph – for Church Lane, Basingstoke Road, Hyde End Lane, Hyde End Road, Tabby Drive and Beech Hill Road – was approved by Cllr Paul Fishwick. Wokingham Borough Council’s executive member for active travel, transport and highways, at a meeting at Shute End on Tuesday.
The proposals were the subject of a formal consultation earlier this year, where three responses were received – all in support of the scheme.
