Ellis Woods has been announced as the new Eversley and California manager.
Woods left his role as Binfield youth coach at the end of last season and he replaces the outgoing Phil Ruggles, who spent three years in charge of the Boars before leaving earlier this month.
“It’s safe to say I’ve been waiting for an opportunity like this to come up for some time now,” said Woods.
“With my staff and players’ performances over the last three seasons, it was natural for me, Jack (Medhurst) and Greg (Stokes) to move forward and look for a first team position this summer.

“Over the last week discussions between me and Ross (Allston) have gone from strength to strength. I’m excited, motivated and honoured to have been given the position of first team manager at Eversley and California FC.
“The goals for us as staff is simple, continue to add to the solid foundations set by Phil Ruggles over the last three seasons and to integrate our knowledge of improving the player pathways from the junior to senior sections of the club.
“I’d like to thank Ross and the executive committee at the club for giving me this opportunity for me to push on in my management and coaching career and hope I can return their faith with performances on and off the pitch.”
As well as working at Binfield, Woods has spent time coaching in France and Spain as well as in the development squads at both Arsenal and Chelsea.
New assistant boss Medhurst has also worked with youngsters at Arsenal, as a head goalkeeper coach at the soccer schools and has playing experience for Team Solent and Binfield. He will also take on the role of goalkeeper coach with the Boars.
Stokes, a PE teacher, arrives as a first team coach having worked with Woods for the past two years at Binfield while Dan Snook completes the new-look line-up, arriving as a development phase coach.
