EMERGENCY crews have been called into Wokingham town centre yesterday afternoon to deal with an incident.
Parts of Gipsy Lane at its junction with Fairview Road were sealed off and there residents were asked to stay in their homes.
Earlier in the afternoon, police also closed Langborough Road.
Police confirmed there was a pesticide spill, and that all three emergency services were called to the scene.
In a statement they wrote: “At a pesticide spill in Gipsy Lane, Wokingham. There is no wider risk to the local community. Anyone in the surrounding areas should keep their windows and doors closed whilst we are on scene.”
