Berkshire Cricket League Division 1: Farley Hill 1st XI (184-8) beat Warfield 1st XI (129 all out)

Farley Hill recorded their seventh win of the season with a 55-run triumph against Warfield.

Farley Hill were put into bat first after the visitors had won the toss and elected to field. They lost their opening batsman early in the innings as Ross Ditchburn fell for just two runs as he was caught out by Andrew Sutcliffe, bowled Mark Tisshaw.

Wicket keeper Michael Sheridan and Ali Jalil batted commandingly as a pair at the crease before Sheridan was dismissed by Madheev Kalli on 42 to break the partnership, with Farley on 76-2.

Warfield’s top order were removed with relatively low impact to the scoreboard as Dave Neilson added three wickets to his tally with the score at 73-5.
