A CHARITY store in Wokingham is offering hot drinks and a snack to its customers.
Jac In A Box is a training hub that helps young people with additional needs to acquire and practice work skills they need to find employment.
The store sells donated items, including toys, games, clothes, books, bric-a-brac and linen.
Items are not priced, instead people pay what they choose and can afford.
The young people serve, sort the items and learn skills required to work in retail, achieving certificates to help them find future work once they leave the store.
“Serving customers in the shop is a skill that our young people enjoy learning,” said Jac In A Box volunteer Elaine Orr.
“It gives them an opportunity to interact with the public, and to gain experience of working in a coffee shop environment.
“They are all very keen to learn to use our barista coffee machine.”
For the foreseeable future, Jac In A Box will be serving hot drinks and fruit toast.
Available during opening hours, these are available for a minimum donation of £1.50.
The Denmark Street store is open every day, with the exception of Sunday, from 10am until 4pm.
