A CHARVIL women and girls’ choir will perform their summer concert in July, with a sweet mix of chocolatey music.
But The Project Singers are already looking ahead to next term, and a new set of songs to perform
Musical director Suzanne Newman, said: “Our current show is called, Chocolate Box, and we’re working on songs about chocolate and all things sweet to celebrate World Chocolate Day on July 7.”
The choir has a section for girls aged nine to 18, with rehearsals on Sundays from 6.15pm until 7.45pm, and a women’s group that rehearses on Mondays from 8pm until 9.30pm. All rehearsals are at Charvil Village Hall, with the singers working on a different project each term.
Miss Newman continued: “We’re now recruiting for our autumn term project – Let it ring, Let it swing, Let it snow, with a programme of seasonal songs, including: Winter wonderland of snow, Mid-winter, Wonderful Christmastime and Do you hear what I hear?
“We’ll be working on the music from September to December, ending with a concert on Sunday, December 15, and some additional carol singing in the area.
“We’ll hold very informal, non-scary auditions in July, and we’re looking for people who love singing, and who can show commitment and enthuiasm.”
