A NEW Repair Cafe will open in Earley, and seeks volunteers to join the team.
It’s the latest in a series of borough projects set up to repair items that would otherwise be sent to landfill, inspired by BBC 1 television show The Repair Shop.
Earley Town Council is behind this new repair facility, which will be available monthly.
Fixers will be on hand to mend household items such as; domestic appliances, bikes, clothes, tools, laptops, clocks, suitcases, bags, and toys.
The group now needs volunteers for various roles as repairers, receptionists and helpers in the café.
Anyone interested in taking part, should download and complete a volunteer application form and return it to the town council by email or post.
Once it opens, the new repair café will take place at Centrepoint community centre in Chalfont Square, in the morning of the second Sunday of the month.
