A short, sharp thunderstorm across Wokingham has brought flash flooding to the borough.
On Friday, June 10, the unexpected downpour caught many by surprise.
The Met Office had not predicted rain today but the storms had taken a different path to the one forecast.
Reader Jenny Partridge sent us a picture of the flash flooding in Priest Avenue, off London Road.
She said: “The sudden downpour on Friday evening caused significant flooding, impacting local homes.”
Thankfully the flooding here isn’t as bad that that seen in London earlier this week, when a man drove his car into a two-metre deep flood.
The weather forecast for tomorrow is currently cloudy but dry, while Sunday – the day of street parties galore – is heavy showers in the afternoon.
