HUNDREDS turnout out last Wednesday to Double Barrelled Brewery in Reading to celebrate grassroots football in the community.
The Berkshire Football Awards was hosted this year by Paul Watson as awards were handed out to outstanding clubs and individuals who help to make up Berkshire’s thriving football community.
Among the 18 awards handed out, there were winners from Reading YMCA FC, Reading FC Women, Caversham United, Binfield and Bracknell Town.
As well as the awards ceremony, attendees were treated to music from the Small Strings and Chris Lambert.

The Football in Berkshire team said: “Thank you to all our Berkshire clubs for yeti another thrilling season of highs and lows in the county. If we sat and listed all the brilliant moments in 2023/24, you’d never see the end of the post. But from the top to bottom of our pyramids, you’ve kept us on the edge of our seats all season.
“Thank you to all those who nominated, our nominees, our winners and our sponsors for yet another very wholesome and special night.
“This year was our sixth edition of the ceremony and we’d like to think it gets better every year, it’s down to you, our incredible community, that we can give so many a platform to celebrate their achievements.”
